Yoga was love at first sight and feel for Brie when she first was introduced to a Hatha practice in 2001. After that first class she knew she wanted to learn how to share this beautiful practice with others. After receiving a 200 hour Hatha based certification at Rishikesh Yog Peeth, in Rishikesh, India, she felt an abundant joy for not only achieving a personal goal, but also in that the experience brought with it her personal practice, which can change a person's life in many ways. Having a strong love and dedication for meditation, is a big influence on her style and practice. After being blessed to be able to practice and learn from a joyful monk for many years, she has felt how much you can learn about life by just sitting down and silently watching your breath. That is a big reason why she chooses to close each of her classes with a short meditation. We practice the asanas in order to prepare the body to learn how to sit and breath comfortably and to the fullness of our ability. Her goals and ambitions for the future include continuing her studies in sign painting at a local college, as well as, furthering her yoga education by studying and expanding her knowledge and experience in the ashtanga style yoga practice.
